MetroParks of Butler County's Winter Hike Series is Back
December 23, 2024 – Shake off those winter blues and embrace the season with MetroParks of Butler County’s 2nd Annual Winter Hike Series! This family-friendly event invites people of all ages to explore the beauty of nature during the colder months while staying active and building connections with fellow hikers.
On Saturdays in January and early February, explore a different park each week with a MetroParks Naturalist and embark on a three-mile guided hike to learn more about the park’s history and natural features. Following the walk, enjoy a hot soup lunch, perfect for warming up and continuing conversations with new friends.
"Winter is a hard time of year to be active, and attending a scheduled event every week that makes exercise enjoyable is a great way to boost your physical and mental health when we're not as motivated to get outside," said Suzanne Roth, MetroParks of Butler County’s Director of Programming.
Event Details:
- January 4: Voice of America MetroPark, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
