Angst Nature Preserve MetroPark
Angst Nature Preserve MetroPark, located in Wayne Township, is one of the newest parks in the MetroParks of Butler County park system. Comprised of 84-acres, Angst Nature Preserve MetroPark features just over three miles of hiking trails which traverse woods, small streams, and farm fields. The farm fields will be restored to natural meadows in the future. Additional planned improvements to Angst Nature Preserve MetroPark include nature trails, a playground, restroom facilities, and the conversion of a bank barn on the property into a shelter. Improvements will be made as funds become available.
Through efforts of a multi-party conservation effort, this property opened to the public on October 22, 2021. Those involved in the project include the Helen Angst family, Three Valley Conservation Trust, the Clean Ohio Fund, and MetroParks of Butler County.
