Seasonal Park Closures
The following facilities are closed and will reopen on April 15th:
- Pioneer Church at Indian Creek MetroPark
- Meadow Ridge MetroPark and Rentschler Forest MetroPark flush restrooms
- Equestrian trails at Sebald MetroPark
- Drinking fountains
Timberhill MetroPark
Brownie Shelter
- The Brownie Shelter is a reservable picnic shelter that will accommodate groups of up to 60 people and is located in Timberhill MetroPark, surrounded by a large open field perfect for family or group games and activities.
- It is near the Great Miami River Trail Timberhill Trailhead, portable restrooms and a water fountain.
- This shelter is equipped with electricity and a fireplace. There is a grill nearby.
General Information:
- When reserved, there will be a “Reserved” sign on the shelter indicating that the shelter has been reserved for the day.
- Shelter reservations are daily from 8am to dusk.
- Upon departure, please leave the shelter and park area clean and all garbage placed in containers provided. (Visitors may want to bring extra trash bags.)
- All vehicles must park in designated parking spaces.
- Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6’ in length. Please clean up after your pets.
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted in the park.
- Trail maps can be found on the website by selecting MetroParks – Rentschler Forest MetroPark.
- Fishing is permitted with a valid Ohio Fishing License.
- Use of firearms and fireworks is strictly prohibited in all areas of the park.
- MetroParks prohibits the use of inflatable equipment such as bounce houses, slides or obstacle courses.

Voice of America MetroPark Cross Country Trail Closures
Portions of the Voice of America MetroPark Cross Country Trails will be closed for trail rerouting work. Trail closures will be marked with signs and barricades.
