Seasonal Park Closures
The following facilities are closed and will reopen on April 15th:
- Pioneer Church at Indian Creek MetroPark
- Meadow Ridge MetroPark and Rentschler Forest MetroPark flush restrooms
- Equestrian trails at Sebald MetroPark
- Drinking fountains
MetroParks Community Grant Program
MetroParks' NEW Community Grant Program provides financial assistance to local political subdivisions and 501(c)(3) organizations who provide access to parks and outdoor recreational opportunities in Butler County. Organizations may apply for up to $5,000 in grant funding for improvements to outdoor recreational facilities. Stay tuned for more information about the 2025 grant program coming in early 2025.
The first class of grant awardees was recognized at the July 17, 2024 Board of Park Commissioners meeting.
Congratulations to:
-Oxford Township: $1,500 for benches in the Oxford Township Cemetery
-Morgan Township: $5,000 for benches in the Morgan Township Community Park
-Hanover Township: $5,000 for Hanover Park playground improvements
-Three Valley Conservation Trust: $5,000 for Ruder Preserve boardwalk improvements
-Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park: $5,000 for benches at Fortified Hill

Voice of America MetroPark Cross Country Trail Closures
Portions of the Voice of America MetroPark Cross Country Trails will be closed for trail rerouting work. Trail closures will be marked with signs and barricades.
