MetroParks Overview & History

MetroParks of Butler County offers outdoor space and recreation at 14 parks and approximately 5,000 acres across the county. MetroParks began in 1955, when a group of concerned citizens came together with the common purpose to preserve and restore natural areas in Butler County and formed the Butler County Park Board. Today, the parks offer opportunities to hike, bike, walk, paddle and enjoy the outdoors. Welcome to MetroParks of Butler County!
