    Ever wondered what wildlife you can find in your own city? Help us kick off the 2025 City Nature Challenge! We will help you get started recording your best observations of wild plants, animals, or fungi. You can also be a part of this citizen science initiative from anywhere! All observations in Butler County recorded in iNaturalist from April 25 - April 28 are automatically added to our local project, part of the larger global challenge.

    Spring is in full swing, and it's a fantastic time for birding in Butler County, with many migrating species you may not see any other time of year! Novices and experts alike hike with us to see who's passing through your parks. Binoculars are available for use during this hike. This program is part of the ID 70 challenge.

    The Friends of Chrisholm welcome Brian Smith, Executive Director of the Butler County Historical Society, to discuss life on a farm in the 1800's. Learn about the tools used, types of crops grown, and the role of agriculture in Southwestern Ohio's development.
