    Little learners and their caregivers will discover nature and science topics together through hands-on experiences and outdoor time. You and your little learner are sure to have a wonderful time. February 11 - Hearts at the Park How does your heart differ from an animal's heart? Let's explore relationships in the animal kingdom and celebrate Valentine's Day with fun activities. February 18 - Grow as We Go Do you know how our education animal ambassadors grow and change throughout their lives? Have fun learning about their developmental milestones while comparing them to ours. February 25 - Mini Gardens Get your hands in the dirt and make your own mini-garden to take home. Pick out plants for sensory and health benefits. Wonder which ones we will feed to the farm rabbit? Ages 2-5 years old (with accompanying adult) Registration required $15/child for the 3-week long series

  • Discovery on the Farm - Love is Everywhere

    Help us celebrate Valentine's Day at the farm by making Valentine Day cards for your favorite humans and the farm animals, too. Explore the world of love through hands-on activities and games revolving around hearts. Registration required $5/child ages 3-10 years old (two and under free)

  • Nature in a Blink: Magic in the Maples

    February 14, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm

    Experience Nature in a Blink, a year-long series in which MetroParks offers opportunities throughout the year to appreciate fleeting natural occurrences. Explore your MetroPark after dark with a night hike to reveal the magic maple trees use to create their liquid treasure. Follow the journey of maple syrup from tap to table and discover mysteries usually hidden in the daylight. Warm up by the fire while sampling maple-inspired recipes and making your own maple memories.

  • Nature in a Blink: Owl Prowl

    Experience Nature in a Blink, a year-long series in which MetroParks offers opportunities throughout the year to appreciate fleeting natural occurrences. It's owl courting season! We'll enjoy hot chocolate and a fire while learning about the adaptations that make owls such amazing hunters. Then we'll venture out into the cold to try to find them. All Ages Registration required $3/person (ages 2 and under free)

  • Urban Coyotes

    February 18, 2025 7:00pm - 8:00pm

    Coyotes have been in the area for several decades, but you may notice them more as their wild habitat decreases. Since this is the peak of their mating season, we can anticipate more sightings. Join us to discuss how they got here, their role, common behaviors, and how to avoid negative interactions.
