Pioneer Church

The Pioneer Church & Burial Grounds are located in Reily Township. The historic brick church was built in 1829 and is located behind a cemetery that dates back to 1810. The cemetery is the final resting place for some of the area's earliest settlers and was the only public burial ground in Butler County when it was established.

Pioneer Church can be reserved seasonally for small weddings and/or services. The church will hold approximately 100 visitors and is very rustic. There is electricity, but no water or restrooms on site. A portable toilet can be added to reservations for an additional fee.

Seasonal reservations for Pioneer Church are required 30 days before your event and can be made by contacting MetroParks' Administration Office at 513.867.5835.
